Leon Spinks sounded pretty horrendous in the Facing Ali documentary but he was always hard to unserstand.

 

He started sounding bad in the 90's if not before.

 

And I am not sure Frazier has boxing caused peoblems. Maybe just old age. He is 67.

 

He was exposed to plutonium as well.

 

Good grief, this is evidence why some people should NEVER get on a microphone. Some of the stuff he was spouting was horredous. "When you put my true god against his, there is only one winner..."blah blah blah.

Oh and he was slurring pretty badly there and that was a while ago........

 

As much as Floyd is annoying, there is nothing more annoying than hearing Andre Ward with all his bible bashing. Yes, thank god but please refrain from all the preaching please!

 

I heard that Danny `Little Red` Lopez is bad too... The price they all paid for their greatness and balls...

 

He's pretty punchy. Met him couple of times and he seemed a little slow. He wasn't as punchy to the effect I've heard about him. I heard he couldn't get in and out of his car. Last time I saw him, he was putting gas in his car.

 

The scary thing about SRR was that he still seemed sharp years after retiring. Then he degraded fairly quick. I think alot of NFL players in their late 40's early 50's go through the same effects. With someone like Roy or Evander, it's very likely the damage is done, they might as well fight on at this point. In fact maybe they realize this and that's one reason they do.

 

They have good days where they can live fairly normal, then other days where they struggle. Over time they generally get less and less of the good days.

 

What breaks my heart is fighters I've known who're too proud to admit they're damaged 'n keep bumping into things.

 

He is documented to have brain damage, there was a newspaper article around 2005 or so, he was working as a janitor for the city recreation department and they said he had memory and speech problems.

 

Howard Clarke's record is unbelievable, guy was 26-10 at one point and finished 26-80.
