Charles really did established an invincibilty at that weight (though he did get beat early on). Yer couldnt say there was no great challenege to his supremacy like Jones Jnr, Tyson and others that people though invincible during there peak

Wilfredo Gomez is a decent choice at 122.

Benny. Ray losing to Pooran past his ideal weight makes me reticent to include him in something like this.

Pooran, pre-poo and without traning would eat Benny's black n white ******* alive and you know it. We have visual evidence. We can watch Duran and other lightweights fight. We can watch Benny Leonard fight. It is there right infront of our eyes.

A meaningless question, I think. A middleweight champion who was considered unbeatable in his reign, would be most beatable in the times of a champion whose contenders were all-time greats. And vice-versa...Ca rlos Monzon, for example, was
unbeatable during his tenure as champion, but what if he had to clean up the middleweights of Les Darcy and Co. Or the 160 pound fighters of the 1930,early 1940s.?
    Different ballgame, methinks...

true but what about fighters who thrived and dominated in tremendous era? for instance, you've pointed out that benny leonard lived in a wonderful lightweight era and he was very dominant in that time. ezzard charles was almost unbeatable in what is likely the best 175 pound era ever. there is SOME extrapoloation that i think could be made

160 Roy gets overlooked because he was pretty green, but I'd have to see someone do it before I believe Roy loses at 168.

I think people are being very kind to some fighters here.
