    I thought it was 10% of all turnover from any subsequent Louis defences, should he beat Braddock. I do not think it crossed Jimmy's mind, that the deal would last for over a decade.

    I think the deal was about a share of Mike Jacobs' profits promoting HW championship fights for a full ten years (although I've read numerous times it was for 'Joe Louis defences'). Win or lose, Braddock was going to get that.
    Based on what I read in Kevin Mitchell's book Jacobs Beach, I think.

    That makes more sense to me anyway, because the "Joe Louis' future defences" seems way too dodgy even by boxing's standards.

    Yuri Foreman got a lot of hype (and I assume moolah) in the lead up to the Cotto fight.
