    Dying art.

    Maidana at 140lbs.
    A healthy Brandon Rios maybe.
Floyd Mayweather can do it when preassuring an opponent, he did it to Mosley in spurts.

    Gets pretty thin after that.

Not too many fighters do it well anymore. When Cotto plays pressure fighter he's pretty good at it, but he doesn't pressure as much these days and prefers to counter. Alfonso Gomez is also very good at cutting off the ring but he alternates between pressure fighter and boxer/counterpuncher depending on the matchup. Prior to the Abril fight, I would have said that Rios was reasonably solid at it, but his performance in that fight was awful.

Also think Peterson deserves an honorable mention for his work against Khan

:smoke....Cotto used to be before he became more a counterpuncer, Mayweather isnt a pressure fighter but when he has to he does very well, recent fighters who are retired or not top shelf anymore were Hatton and Castillo...not very many guys do it well, most guys just follow the guy around

Yup. . . Acosta looked world class as anything against Rios, and Rios started to cut the ring off, rather than "follow him." Especially after the middle rounds.

Maidana also has some pretty quick feet on him, and is good at cutting the ring off.

Mayweather, yup. . . Andre Ward as well when he wants to.

No other names immediately springs to mind at the moment. . . Salido, maybe?

ANd he deserves an honorable mention for walking into right hand, after right hand. . . Ask his right eye which was swollen completely shut :) He was following Khan a lot too - Khan would skeet away, with Peterson lumbering in tow. . Then BOOM! Khan stops on a dime, lunges forward, and blasts that ass with a straight right, or a right uppercut. . . Over, and over, and over again. . . .

Floyd is the best at using his footwork to cut off the ring IMO.

Petersen can cut it off when he doesn't get caught "chasing" his opponent instead. Petersen is very good at it.

Rios was a beast at it until that last fight.

Cotto at one point could do it very well.

    Hatton deserves a mention.

Tyson could do it as well.

    Andrew Gollata wasn't bad.

Marciano could do it when he chose to.
