    Some great stories in here.

The only pro-level boxer I ever met was Edison Miranda. Saw him at an airport a couple months ago. It took a second, you know, when you see someone out of the corner of your eye and you're thinking "where do I know that guy from?" and then a second later it hits.

I don't like approaching "celebrities" in general, especially when they're just doing their thing, but I did roll up on him real quick because I have nothing but the utmost respect for boxers, who in general put their health at stake for our entertainment. And I feel like they should know that we the fans appreciate it. He was cool as hell, his hands were like stone. We just chatted for a brief minute (my spanish is horrible) and went our separate ways. He had a huge smile the whole time, I think he did appreciate my appreciation for him.

When he came to London in January & June 2000, I met Mike Tyson numerous times.

Mike Tyson was my Hero, so I was trying to take any opportunity I could to meet the man! I got three Magazines signed by him, all of which had him on the front cover. The first one he signed was somewhat Poignant for him - it was black & white Picture of him & Cus when Mike was 14 years old!

During his visit, he went to the McLaren showroom on Park Lane & the whole road, traffic, people, came to a standstill. Anyone who's from or Lives in London, will know just how Hectic & busy Park Lane is on a daily basis. There was Chaos!

Mike was very Polite & on one occasion, he said "I don't feel like signing anything right now, but when I come back in two hours, if your still here, I'll sign your magazine!" True to his word, he did indeed sign my magazine & he shook hands with me & said something along the lines of "You showed Discipline to say here for all that time. Nearly all of the people that were here earlier have gone. But you have stayed!"

Meeting The Man, the Adrenalin, the butterflies were there, & it was Awesome! There was Mayem outside the Grosvenor House Hotel, where he stayed during his Two Visits in 2000!

I'm not really bothered if I don't meet any other sports person again. For I have the one I truly wanted to meet! The memory of it all will stay with me forever!

I met Pacquiao bros and shawn porter during training for the Cotto fight. Pac became one of the guests on a boxing gym where I used to go at. So was Penalosa and Donaire.

I met Richard Christmas, who used to manage Ezzard Charles and James Douglas (Busters father). He had some great stories.

Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor comes into our gym sometimes and used to spar with my coach when they were much younger.

Vargas is known for being a dick... I don't know all the details, just the rough outline, but he got ****ed up by an MMA guy here in Vegas. Apparently everyone was leaving a party or a restaurant or some chick, and Vargas was there to pick up some chick or something, he had some kind of connection to the party. He was leaning up against a car and started talking **** for some reason about one of the MMA guys, and the MMA guy just walked right over and lit him up, knocked him the **** out right there and then with no hesitation. Vargas is a gangster, always has been. I respect his abilities, but I suspect he's a total shitheel as a person.

I forgot to mention i met DLH also at the airport, he gave 100 dollars for taking his one bag to his limo. Cool guy didnt get mad when i asked him about tito, he said he didnt fight him again because his wife didnt want him fighting puertorricans anymore. She wanted him to win the puerto rico fans over i guess.

that was his answer about a cotto fight - not a tito fight if i remember right.

oscar didn't rematch tito because he offered tito too little and tito refused based on the grounds that he shouldn't have to make less against a guy he had already 'beat'.

similar thing with shane, so he went to MW and got spanked by hopkins at a weight he shouldn't have fought at anyway.

    tell me if i'm wrong..

you might not be wrong maybe he did say that for cotto but im just telling you what he told me... I think he really didnt want to fight tito because of the fans. He was already living in PR and was gaining a lot of popularity with the fans there. Tito was loved there he knew that fighting him will make him a villain with the fans.

And yes tito shouldnt never left 147 when he did, he couldve fought a couple fights at 147 against mosely or quartey. And then go up to 154 and stay there i dont know why he went up to 160 after just 3 fights at 154.

oscar always went where the money was, so after the first tito fight - and especially the decision and how much a rematch would have made - i don't believe oscar didn't want to fight tito again.

oscar's become a shameless robot who doesn't give people credit to see through his PR statements for years now too, so it's hard to believe anything he might have said

He couldve made like 40million dollars fighting tito in a rematch so i doubt he went where the money was... although i think tito's father had a lot to do with the rematch not being made. He had an inferiority complex and always wanted to make sure everybody knew that tito and oscar were equals and they didnt need him. Always saying no to oscars demands, first the rematch was going to be at 147 but when tito went up in weight oscar demanded the rematch to be at 150. Instead of agreeing papa trinidad said it had to be at 154. Didnt make sense since the agree to fight him at 1417 a year earlier but now it had to be a 154.

I wouldve loved to see a rematch because i knew oscar would have to fight this time and the excuse i wanted to box woulndt hold water twice in a row.
