OK there's two threads in one here(being economical) Boxers w/out nicknames, I'll start w/Rafael Marquez and RJJR.(don't count Reluctant Jones). RIght off the top of my head I could NOT think of one fighter without any controversial fights. Salvador Sanchez maybe.:think
Boxer without a nickname - Frank Bruno, at least to my knowledge I dont think Hamed ever had any controversial fights.
Sanchez was dropped pretty hard by some none too great southpaw if I'm remembering correctly. I know some feel he lost a draw he had as well.
Floyd had a controversial decision against Castillo, he was overweight against Marquez, and his last fight ended in controversy(although he broke no rules)
Did Lennox Lewis ever had a nickname? cant remeber any. No controversial fights? that's a tougher one, altough I dont see any controversy regarding any of Pavlik's fights. He either won by a legit KO-comfortable decision or was completely outboxed and lost. Maybe Smogger not stopping the 1rst Taylor fight in round 2 might be slightly controversial.
Wladimir Klitschko had the Lamon Brewster "possibly drugged" incident... Mayweather has JLC I, JMM cathweight and overweight-ness, and Ortiz KO. Pacquiao has Marquez twice, Agapito Sanchez, overweight vs. and catchweights to some might apply. Martinez has the Cintron Draw and the close PWill I fight. Marquez has Pacquiao twice, Chris John, and Barrera. Bradley has headbutts. Ward has headbutts. Bute gets 14 seconds to make it to his feet. Cunningham gets 5 seconds to patrol around after beating the count by a thread. Plus Adamek and Wlod. Khan has questionable Joe Cortez convenient point deductions. Calderon has clash of heads which stop fights. Margarito has... EVERY FIGHT HE'S EVER BEEN IN!
