Boxers Want THE Drug Test!

Sadly, this probably won't get seriously addressed until somebody gets seriously hurt, possibly even killed. We've gone a long time without a Gerald Mcclellan type injury in a high profile bout. Playing with PEDs is just asking for that to happen.

Sooner or later somebody is going to get seriously hurt and the lawsuits will start flying. Promoters, networks, athletic associations, everybody will try to cover their asses when their money is on the line and people/politicians are again wanting to ban boxing. All of a sudden, they'll all start to demand testing.

Sad to say, but that's the only way I see this working out.

 

Common thing in combat sports. Slow ref usually causes those.
