There is one other thing here: the difference between 1 and 2 is something that doesn't need a discussion. But when it comes to height it becomes a bit different if we talk in feet+inches or centimetres. The difference between 6.6 and 6.5 (for example) is just 1 inch, but this 1 inch equals 2.54 cm, so 6.6 is 198, but 6.5 is 195.5 - nothing that you don't know anyway. So if fighter X is lying about his size, this could be just around a centimetre, but lying by an inch, especially 2 is, I think, noticeable to very noticeable. By the way, a man can lose some height during the day - you wake up usually a bit taller than you are when you go to bed later.
Agreed Makhmudov does look taller than stated. didn’t look much shorter than his last opponent listed at 6’8, maybe its done on purpose to throw opponents off seeing him even bigger in person. like Kevin Durant in NBA who is taller than his listed height (which is the reverse of whats usually the case with nba players) and I think he said he does that on purpose
Nah. Those NBA analysts keep trying to make him 7'. He's not. He's like 6'9 1/2. Anthony Davis is taller than him and he's 6'10.
I'm not sure how accurate NBA is at all. They call Austin Reeves 6'5" but he looks like a midget next to literally every other person on the court.
Do you know any man who claims shorter than he really is? It's the same with pro athletes. The ones who look taller than their listed heights tend to just go by their actual height compared to most athletes who inflate theirs by an inch or two, like Fury.
Basically no-one, aside from a few cases where it’s an obvious mistake. There is little or no deliberate under listing. What you are seeing is the occasional guy who is actually honest.
so footwear? Time of day? Hair? None of that makes a difference? how do you know when someone is standing up straight? A slight slouch wherr you arent standing at you absolute tallest is easily a half inch Im 181.5 in morning and 179.5 in evening thats almost an inch. And some days im 182+ the difference can be greater when you’re taller im the 6’4 plus range.
It's a line up picture dude. https://alchetron.com/cdn/united-st...60-9c36-4c70-909e-9d5c5e4c679-resize-750.jpeg Tyson Chandler is a little taller than 6'11. Does KD look 7' there?
