Vitali Klitschko came back after almost four years.

George Foreman obviously, although it took some time before he fought live bodies.

Ricky Hatton after almost 3 years to fight Senchenko and look what happened there. Fury has taken note and adjusted accordingly. Interestingly, both had similar lifestyles out of the ring.

    Best ever:

Jeffries, was it 5 years retired, coming back and facing champ Jack Johnson straight away.

Don't see that one ever being surpassed.

Vitali was among the most impressive

Two surgeries, and FOUR years layoff

Came back COLD and not only beat the current holder of his title, but absolutely THRASHED him

Vitali was a one of a kind, tough as hell, born fighter. He was a phenom like we are unlikely to see again

Mayweather's win is much better. Rigo was inactive and 37 as a tiny guy.

Larry Holmes at 38 and almost 2 years out of the ring, came back and fought prime Mike Tyson.

George Foreman at 45 out of the ring for 17 months, comes back and KTFOs 35-0 lineal HW champion who's 19 years younger than him.

Exactly. I don't think it's coincidence that Ricky is in Fury's camp either. Tyson deserves credit for being a very smart man who seems to listen to the right people.
