Someone stole my 1st choice (Bobby Chacon) 2nd choice would
be Aaron Pryor. From rags to riches, back to rags , roamed the streets of Liberty
City in a cocaine induced haze (During that time frame, it was the Grace of God only that
kept him alive , anyone that know that area would agree) at the pinnacle of his career ,
to redemption and becoming a Baptist minister after his career
was over, defeated his addictions, became a productive member
    of society before his death.

It has sort of been done before, but revisiting Jack Johnson is long overdue.

All the old legendary prizefighters who have left great footprints in history with passion and dedication to the sport deserve a movie about them. Because unfortunately they are in danger of being forgotten by our todays ultra superficial society. Some examples:

    - Max Schmeling would be a great story. (Yeah there are 1 or 2 movies but really bad ones)
    - Floyd Patterson, Ezzard Charles - nearly forgotten these days
    - Sam Langford / Jack Johnson (would be dramatically very interesting. They could make a very critically interesting film.
    - Sonny Liston (would be very thrilling)
    - Ken Norton (very entertaining story with many ups and downs. First winning countless competitions in high school, becoming a marine, becoming a pro boxer but also broke, then this legendary trilogy with Ali, the unfortunate fight with Holmes, the car accident and the recovery)

Wilfredo Gomez, using his 3 legendary bouts with Mexicans and Sanchez's death as a hook.

Conversely also, Salvador Sanchez, using his wins over Danny Lopez and Gomez and his death as a hook.

Archie Moore needs an hbo series…from childhood to early career mid career end of boxing career than the after boxing career…very interesting life as a traveling fighter doing the occasional good deed like helping to raise money for a blind girl. To fighting for the LHW title for nothing in Argentina. Only guy to meet Marciano n Ali in the ring.helped Train big George foreman. Starred in the controversial movie Huck Finn. I need this made

Jerry Quarry. His life with an abusive father in a tough Irish American family . The big fights the money the partying drugs divorces and all the comebacks and his terrible slide into mental illness . Would be a very dark tale.

Yes, in todays climate An Emile Griffith movie would do big numbers and be a very good movie given all that went on in his career in the ring and life after its. I also think a Jack Johnson movie would be amazing.

My bad, I see they already made a movie - “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”.
