Boxers vs wrestlers. An old debate. Contrary to popular opinion so called mixed martial arts isn't a new thing gifted to us by the Zuffa gods, fighters, wrestlers and fans of both sports have been tussling over this for a while. What I'd like to know is which ATGs either "fought" a wrestler or were capable wrestlers. I know Joe Louis had one wrestling match at the end of his career, Ezzard Charles had a few and Duran "fought" a wrestler, but this was the theatre wrestling of the WWE kind. Dempsey was apparently a genuine wrestler, boxed a few during his faux "comeback" in the 40s, and Holmes apparently wrestled in high school. Anyone else on the list?

Archie Moore's final fight was a boxing match against wrestler Mike Dibiase (stepfather of Ted Dibiase).

Sam McVea took on several jiu jitsu fighters in "All In" bouts and an old Frank Slavin boxed Frank Gotch in a bout that ended when Gotch threw him out of the ring, unwilling to trade blows.
