Yes I know none of us would dare say something like that and mean it. But I'm sure there's been performances you've seen where you thought heck this guy is so bad on the night even I could whoop him.

So guy's give me those fighters on the night you thought even you could beat.

Ali in that sickening condition when he fought Holmes, the man was a walking corpse that bout.

( IF ) i had to get back in the ring , i think i would choose the Audley Harrison who fought David Haye.
I figure i could avoid Audley's one punch every 2 rounds or so, He's the only ranked heavyweight i ever saw who would be pulling his head back in anticipation of a shot AS he was steping in to throw one. LOL

Johnny Nelson v Carlos De Leon... I'd have mullered De Leon with an awesome display of snide Street fighting tactics too. I'd have kicked the ¢unt out of them both that night

The Benitez that fought Hamsho seemed pretty harmless.

Honeyghan v Breland which Lloyd made worse with a half haircut and doing 'The Hawk' in the introductions at Breland who bounced Honey up and down for two and a half rounds.

I've had a pop at Lloyd in the thread pitting him against Leonard so, to give him his due, I will say that the courage he showed against Starling was incredible. It's a very British thing but he was being outclassed, had broken his cheekbone so even the lightest jab 'was like a hot knife' and kept going and it made me proud to be supporting the Brit that night.

Bruce Seldon was so ridiculous and pathetic against Tyson that I think i could kill him from a heart attack wearing a Mike Tyson mask.

I've often thought that when looking at some boxing matches where the 'fighters' barely throw a punch. Round after round of circling and flicking out a jab and then clinching ... with the guys getting tired just standing around.

But this can be very deceptive.

I remember a story from a while ago where a particularly useless MMA fighter in some or other Scandinavian country was ragged upon by a member of the public. Apparently this guy really sucked, and the heckler stalked him for months, calling him out. Eventually the fighter had enough and they met up to throw down. The worthless MMA guy turned out to be a beast when matched up with an untrained guy off the street, and put the heckler into ICU. The MMA guy ended up in jail after the video went public iirc. I'll try track down the actual story if somebody wants it.

Point is, even these really sucky guys would probably whoop our butts.

From what I've read on this forum lately, Donald Curry when he lost to Honeyghan, and Mike Tyson when he lost to Douglas, would be hard-pressed to beat anyone their own weight.

The uppercut that Tyson landed on Douglas would have murdered any non-trained heavyweight.
