    You dont get it.

Big difference between people who have to wake up at 5am and train 5 hours a day for 20 years vs someone who does this for a hobby only to look cool in the mirror. Most of these people are sick of the training mentally and just want to ease off.

Greatest boxer of his generation? Debatable and that squarely falls on his shoulders due to the low risks he took during his PRIME years. Lost to Castillo and lost to Maidana I. He clearly ducked Margarito and you could argue all you want against that, but anyone who followed boxing during that time knows that FMJ vs AM crapped all over anything Baldomir or Judah had to offer. FMJ DEFINITELY ducked PacMan during Pac's reign of terror. It was only after JMM knocked out Pac cold that FMJ even considered getting into the ring with him.

One of the best ever? You just lost all credibility with that silly statement.

He looks like Kell Brook’s older brother. It’s ironic that they both come from Sheffield and grew up in he same gym.

definitely not arguing that baldomir was a better opponent than margo, it was a blatant belt grab. but don't forget that when margo walked in on Floyd at his press conference, he had just beaten Kermit cintron, which is hardly a credible audition to fight the best.
furthermore, when margo did establish himself as a credible opponent, he got done for cheating and coincidentally lost 4 of his next 5 bouts after serving his suspension. if I wanted to scuttle any chance of fighting Floyd, I reckon that ought to do it.
the two fighters you claim beat Floyd - he rematched them both.
and while I agree that the pac fight should've happened 3-4 years earlier, who's fault that was seems to depend on who you ask, so I think they both deserve to shoulder the blame equally.

if you think Floyd doesn't deserve to be compared to the best of all time, and you 'point blank' think that anyone who says so has lost "all credibility", then I 'd like to hear what you liked about Floyd's career - just to show that you have some objectivity - and aren't just hating on him.

Floyd went undefeated during his entire career, and not 'Calzaghe undefeated'.
Floyd has a dozen mikkel Kessler+ fighters on his resume.
he legitimately retired undefeated (even though I think he'll be back and will lose his '0')

sure, some things could have been done better. but when you have a sport fragmented by the federations, the belts subsequently lose the meaning that they would otherwise have like in other sports (where 'world champion' means exactly that), and the power of making insane $$$ overrides collecting belts.
the result is that fighters who transcend the sport, like pacman and Floyd, can write their own ticket. the federations have no power over them, the belts become little more than trinkets
