I would include Ali's loss to Frazier here insofar as he proved he could take a punch and by coming on strong in the championship rounds, proved to the doubters that there was more to him than a showman and that he could fight and dig deep. I could say similar about Frazier, but seeing as its about the losers gaining cred then he doesnt fall into this particular category regarding this fight

 

this is a bit of a odd one perhaps but mike dokes effort against holyfield was a better performance than most felt he had left in him
