makes me wonder after watching this clip of bob arum talk about pacquiao..... he mentioned tommy hearns and roberto duran but both of them got brutally knocked down but got up or showed activity pretty soon after..... pac was unconscious for 3-4 minutes..... only other person i can think of that this has happened to is roy jones and we all know how that went

imo...the kind of ko pac suffered is easier to come back from because he didn't sustain a serious ass whooping over a long period of time. the physical damage is less. the psychological damage is what we don't know about. has pac watched that film? does he know why/how he was ko'd? those are the unknowns at this point.

if it wasnt for the smelling salt pac be knocked uptil tomorrow morning.

Tyson got brutally hammered by Buster...i think if it wasn't for his prision term and his lifestyle he would of been the same. (even though he was the same after the ko fights..talking about long term)

who else besides duran, RJJ, hearns and tyson....

meldrick taylor didn't come back well but then again he wasn't KOd. Not to many marque guys from this generation have taken that kind of loss

    Its not just that KO.

    - Pac was already on the slide in the first place
    - Pac has a long, taxing career as it is

If this KO would have happened in 2008, then ya, I could see him coming back nicely. But its not, hes already on the downturn for his career.

I expect Pac to have enough to beat Rios nicely, but the sand is just about out for his time at the top, imo. He wont beat another first tier fighter, imo.

    Hope he proves me wrong.

    Totally different case.

He got his face ripped up, but no concussion.

How many hard shots did Manny take in that fight? Obviously there was the two knockdowns but apart from that? Come to think of it when was the last time Manny was KD prior to the Marquez fight? And no, the Mosley one doesn't count...
