I think his chin is great, even so, he does rely on it more than the average boxer, he would not have accomplished that much with his skills had he not been able to take a very good punch.
Yup. He took serious bombs in the Acosta fight to the point that I thought he was finished. Warrior but unfortunately a short shelf life IMO.
I'll admit it is above average, but I still think it's the most overrated chin in boxing. Many try and act like he has one of the best chins ever and that's bull ****. His skill are underrated. He doesn't just take shots on the chin all fight like Margarito did. Look at the Abraham fight, he knew if AA landed flush on him he would likely get KO'd, so he never let AA hit him.
Amir Khan...and he gets knocked out as a result lol This content is protected look how open he leaves himself atsch
Chavez jr aka Ganja kid has a degree on stopping punches with his face and doesn't worry about them. I don't know if his last face bone factures will affect him in latters fights qs happened with Margarito... Golovkin relies in his chin too: he doesn't worry a lot about being hit...
:rofl :rofl But seriously, both Chavez Jr relies on his chin and weight advantage so much its not even funny.
No mention of Lamotta? 2 pages in to the forum come on guys! chavez sr didn't soley rely on his chin but he took 3 to give 1. Iran Barkley, Ricky Hatton,
I agree with most of your list. Hagler, however, slipped a ton of punches. Obviously he had his war with Hearns, but for the most of his career, he came forward on the balls of his feet with a lot of head movement. He didn't eat a ton of shots.
