I'm not talking about fighters who won gold in 2nd grade long jump.

i mean, e.g., rocky marciano, although he failed, was good enough to get a try-out for a major league baseball team (correct me if that's not entirely accurate).

stuff like that. i'm particularly curious if the smaller guys could've excelled in other sports (except horse-racing:D).

Both Hatton brothers were very promising footballers.

    Especially Matthew.

JWHT Douglas was the M/W gold medalist in London 1908. Olympics. He went on to Captain the English cricket team.

Ambrose Palmer was Aust. M/W, LH/W & H/W Champ... also played VFL footy.

John Hopoate was a great NRL player.. fighting McCall for IBA H/W title soon.

Carlos Mondon was argueably top 3 M/W ever.. Umm.. errr.. Is 'wife tossing' a sport??

There's a long list of names with 'payed' ability of recent times at dual sports.

Kermit Cintron was a very good college wrestler.

I believe Ernesto Marcel was a good basketball player but obviously height wasn't his strong suit.

of course! don't know much about rugby but he was supposed to be superstar in that sport right? wonder why he left it.

this got me thinking, wasn't he knocked out by feather-fisted sven ottke with one punch? you reckon this has to do with him losing too much muscle too quickly a la rjj? (i'm assuming he was a lot bigger in his rugby days).
