Boxers who were great at neutralizing an opponent's best assets

    Bernard Hopkins, Mayweather, Monzon, Armstrong(his activity, chin, and strength made guys just try to fend him off not a stylistic genious), etc

    You know i debated whether to mention Eddie myself!! Great call. Futch has many masterpieces to his credit.

    A guy not mentioned, but hardly loved, was Sven Ottke.

    I actually thoroughly enjoyed his fights and he was a master at this. Then again, those 35-0 w/ 5 ko guys do have to have a ton of ringsmarts to get their victories, don't they?

    Another guy that does this very well is Vitali Klitschko. He always did and even moreso early in his career.

    Real good thread though and it's always a case of the top notch fighters having this ability. Hard to teach and a guy has to be a real good thinker in the ring to pull it off.

    I almost keeled over in my chair big buddy... you actually gave Johnson props on something... Kudos.

    I agree with this list 100% and would only add Hopkins
