Well he isn't a boxer, but he's an infamous boxing promoter. This is what Tyson had to say about Don King: “King is a wretched, slimy, reptilian mother (expletive). This is supposed to be my ‘black brother,’ right? He’s just a bad man, a real bad man,” said Tyson, 44, a convicted ****** who has seemingly managed to genuinely turn his life around for the better. “He would kill his own mother for a dollar. He’s ruthless, he’s deplorable, he’s greedy and he doesn’t know how to love anybody.” Harsh words, but maybe Tyson is right and Don King really is a reptile.
Don Kingsnake. The funny thing (as in ironic) was when Tyson was dropping his original team (or what was left of it after Cus D’Amato and Jimmy Jacobs passed) to join King, he said (I don’t remember the words) he knew King was a snake but that a snake isn’t dangerous if you have the lights on and you see it coming. In other words, ‘I know he’s a scumbag but I’m aware he’s going to try to take advantage of me so he won’t be able to do it.’ Should file that one in my ‘Good plan; didn’t work’ thread, haha.
