Yeah, that fight was the first time I ever saw Michael Moorer. Lennox Lewis too (he was on the same card).

Obscure heavyweight Tyrone Evans was an absolute mountain of a man who was also an athlete, he fought several name prospects like Alex Stewart 2x, Kirk Johnson and Buster Mathis Jr. Also had two sons that were athletes I believe.

He sticks out in my mind as one of the super sized "super heavyweights" that people were at one time frothing at the mouth over because oblivious fans expected their sheer size to equate to in the ring success... Then again, that notion seemingly lives on in the hearts and minds of even some of our classic forum posters to this day with the misplaced Primo Carnera love that's known to float around here.

Other notable massive heavyweights that were also athletes... Derrek Jefferson, Lance "Goofy" Whitaker, Michael Grant and I believe maybe even Corey "T-Rex" Sanders.

I wonder how good some of these guys could have been if they had spent thousands of hours working on their boxing skills while they were growing up, instead of focusing on basketball and other sports.

Jeremy Williams apparently was a very serious Judoka unbeknownst to me when he started he was a 2nd degree blackbelt a few years ago but there is a video of him sparring with Lennox Lewis and throwing Lewis who got upset and jumped out of the ring......he had no idea how to stop Jeremy from doing what he wanted in close so he jumped out
