    I know Whitaker was really fast but at times he would just walk around and hardly use his speed.
    Dude was a genius.

    clottey got mad hand speed. wouldn't call him slow.

    That's exactly what I'm doing dip****. They're not all the same. Locche, average handspeed & footspeed but terrific upper-body movement. That's where defense comes from, right... not how fast you throw punches.

    Personally I find Hopkins hand speed a bit slow. Hopkins and Toney came to mind. Clottey hand speed isn't all that either. JMM has pretty good defense.

    different kind of speed........ sugar ray leonard was lighting fast with his handspeed and from the trunks up....but was not greased lighting wiith his feet that most people dont notice....but to answer the question....there aint been many

    Chavez wasn't all that fast...had decent speed, and excellent upperbody movement, could slip, roll with the punches, and pick off shots really good.
