    Foreman. In the Rumble in the Jungle Ali had no choice but to fight off the ropes. Watch how Foreman cuts off the ring on him in the early rounds when he tried to dance. Ali had nowhere to go, so he took it to the ropes and the rest is history

    Ezzard Charles was mostly a boxer puncher who preferred for guys to come to him, but from all the accounts I've read in old Ring Magazines about his younger days he was frighteningly effective at chasing down foes who tried to retreat from him.

    They don't come any more versatile than Charles.

    Good examples of using subtle textbook footwork to always keep the opponent in punching range.Lot's of little half steps in every direction to dictate the range.
