With the recent Fury victory, it's clear there are many boxers who have great records but maybe haven't received worldwide recognition for their efforts so far. Who will have a 'breakout' year in 2016??? Callum Smith - This guy can challenge already for a World Title. Anthony Joshua - A superfight with Fury would be epic Kell Brook - maybe doesn't get the credit he deserves. A couple more fights across the pond should do it. Timothy Bradley? Carl Frampton - cagey US debut recently, but his class shone through in the end. He will beat Quigg. .....I'm British so naturally I'm going to choose the fighters I am most familiar with. :smoke
One good KO win for Callum was enough to erase those two mediocre performances against Sjekloca and Rebrasse. I see.
Joseph Parker. I will second that one. Very strong prospect now ranked 9 in HW by Boxrec. Thunderous.
AJ for sure. Brook needs to fight a live body, this year was terrible for him. Smith looks like he has the goods, but needs more wins against proven fighters. Frampton will beat Quigg and dominate.
Thirded. Someone started a thread on him being a contender but it seems to have been removed, not northern hemisphere enough to be conversation worthy?
Uncharacteristically, Parker and his people have been quoted in the media several times this week that he would have knocked out Wlad this past Saturday. They usually don't do much talking of this type. Though he's young, I tend to believe them.
Nah, he's all wrong for Wlad. He's small and has a much smaller reach. Wlad would bully him badly and pump that jab in the face, so they might throw in the towel so he can come again in the future.
Shingo Wake, who will claim the unified IBF and WBA Super Bantamweight titles, then school Rigondeaux
