There are some boxers who promoters use as stepping stones for their new up and coming fighters or just to simply show case there fighters talent against a lesser opponent.

A little while ago I boxred Rogers Mtagwa becuse he was lined up to fight the so called "future P4P" JMM, and realised I had never seen this rogers guy fight but heard of the guy on this forum about his previous FOTY. His record was terrible on paper, so I thought nothing of him. infact I didnt even bother watching that fight.

26 wins 13 losses against 26 wins 0 losses with 24 brutal KOz? hmmmm no contest right? I deffinately learned my lesson

Are there any outstanding boxers who you guys feel their record is deceptive? and feel free to name the other kind of fighters who have impressive record but nothing special e.g chavez junior, tyrone brunson

Juanma's is a little deceptive, but he has shown he is a few classes above the rest on his record (apart from Mtawga), but I think Chavez Jr is by far the most deceptive. He's got like 40+ wins and no defeats and he really isn't any good.

As much as I hate to say it because I'm a big supporter, Dmitriy Salita's 30-0-1 is mostly bull****. But hey, my grandpa and I have got to find a Jewish boxer to cheer for, don't we? One that isn't as boring as Yuri Foreman, that is.

    Tye Fields 42-2
Emmanuel Augustus 500 or sub 500 but the man comes to fight every time.
Mickey Ward has like 30 something wins and around 15 losses yet he can beat anybody on any given day.

Hector "Torero" Lopez 41(ko 23)-7-1 a volume puncher that gave Kostya Tsyu more than he could handle.

Freddie Pendleton 47(34)-26-5 actually won a title. Fought Frankie Randall, Whitaker, Rafael Ruelas, Vince Phillips, and Hatton

Javier "Chatitio" Juaregui 53 (KO 36)-16-2 tough sob beat Leavander Johnson to win a title

Chango Carmona won 52 (KO 42) + lost 13 (KO 5) + drawn 2 knocked out Mando Ramos.

    sorry these are old timers.....
