Harold Lederman said Berto had an "illegal beard". Was he making shite up?

What about Haye, Kimbo Slice? Especially Kimbo. Got to be numerous others.

I've heard people complain about beards in the past also, but didn't know why until that fight

Y bertos beard get so much attention? I think it was lederman who sayd his beard was "illegal" druring the fight. Ive seen worse, way worse facial hair in terms of an advantage.

Let me eductae all the ignorant ****s in this thread.... Too big a beard is supossedly illegal if it looks like it can cushion a blow or possibly scratch or cut your opponent's face.

Me personally, I always thought it was an idiotic rule. Never, ever have I ever heard of a beard causing a cut in a fight, and as far as cushioning a blow, it seems to me like cornrows and bigass afros at the top of your head would cushion a blow even more than a scruffy beard, and yet those are allowed. Doesn't make any ****ing sense to me. :conf

All fighters should be allowed to have a beard if they want it has no bearing on the fight or its outcome whatsoever.

Wasnt there something about Margaritos beard, they wanted it cut off, But Manny wanted to leave it for target practice.
