Big misconception !!! in his prime Jackson was KOed Twice buy two of the biggest puncher at 154 and 160. in both of those losses he was on his feet taking a beating not on his back .
Jackson...glass jaw?? Historically many will say Hearns, but his jaw wasn't as bad as it's made out to be, and he was only KO'd by the best fighters around. Of the current crop I think Haye is a good shout!! It's KO or get KO'd for him.
He was already slipping by the time of the first McClellan fight, and was more or less done at that level by the rematch. Either way, being KO'd by a bigger, stronger puncher like Gerald McClellan while on the way out is hardly indicative of a bad chin. Aside from the McCallum ref stoppage, his only other losses came towards the end of his career when he was a shell of his former self. Jackson's chin was every bit as good as someone like Trinidad's.
I assume you must be referring to his chin, maybe I've been a bit harsh saying its glass but it wasnt far from it, I wouldnt call it sturdy. I know McClellan was a huge hitter as well but being KO'd in the first round isnt impressive especially considering Benn hardly the best chinned himself took McClellan's best shots. Verno Philips knocking him out late. The McCallum fight maybe was stopped a bit early but he was taking punishment there. Obviously you disagree but I thought he was a reasonable example.
True but the point being he was stopped by two of the biggest punchers in boxing at the time. In his fight with McCallum he was on his feet protesting the stoppage. so Im not sure where he got labeled as having a weak chin.
