Nobody's perfect, even the most skilled fighters could have too much of a noticeable rhythm\set-up. Any picks?
Not too educated on him but didnt Joe Louis have this before the first schmelling fight? “I see something…” was the line as I remember it.
Louis would drop his left hand a bit low after jabbing, and Schmeling used that small opening to get in on him.
I’d say this telegram from Jack Dempsey thanking a guy for a watermelon he sent is one of the best telegraphs from a boxer that I’m aware of. Short, sweet and to the point. https://repository.tcu.edu/handle/116099117/63375
Larry Holmes didn't move his head when he threw the jab. Cus d'Amato noticed that and he predicted Tyson would knock him out with the right hand.
Hatton had a bad habit of getting into a rhythm with his head movement. Mayweather and Pacquiao both exploited it with the left.
I think that knockout of Maussa made him fall in love with that leaping left hook, which hurt him badly in future fights.
