He quite literally looks like he has no lower body strength. It’s nothing to do with body composition IMO I think he has no muscle in his legs at all lol.

Old George was a strong guy and it wouldn’t totally shock me but I highly doubt it- Bruno was simply that much bigger, they look like a different species.

Hard to say exactly how big old George was in lean weight, but guys that weren't that much smaller than Bruno, and who were juicing, bounced off old Foreman like they were cruisers. Never seen a fighter project raw strength like he did.

That cannot be true though, given his athletic history. There's literally a track and field rule called the "Norton rule" because he was essentially a one-man track team in high school. There was a track event where the team entered him into 8 events and he won first place in 7. For whatever the legs may look like, he clearly had a lot of fast twitch muscle in them.

How about Holyfield? Old Foreman pushed him around like he was nothing. Holyfield has even said he was shocked by how strong Foreman was.

No idea what old Foreman would have been lean, but he was clearly carrying a good bit more lean mass than he did when young, and whatever strength training he was doing was clearly very effective in building useful strength for boxing.

That’s true- despite there appearance they must’ve been at the very least capable of expressing phenomenal force- good things, small packages and all that. Kenny “Daddy Long legs” Norton.

In fairness Holyfield was teeny tiny by comparison and a new HW- Foreman also was a very capable “grappler” in boxing terms. He really knew how to express his strength in the ring like very few guys did- I think he learnt a lot from Saddler.

I think there's definitely something to this. He was strong AND knew how to use it.

I liked your comment just so I could go back and unlike it later. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

George fought a number of fights right around 225 really not much difference there. Matter of fact I'd go as far as to say foreman 2.0 could out lift a prime PED enhanced Bruno. If anything, George's arms were bigger in his second career.

(For the record, I take no stance on the argument either way. @Saintpat always struck me as a good fellow. I just found this comment funny.)

That was the very lightest of his second career, I think. Why cherry pick instead of comparing them at their strongest? I mean we could take Bruno against Smith as well, but it seems more reasonable to compare them at their most physically imposing.

For Foreman, I'd choose his fights against Holyfield, Morrison and Briggs and for Bruno when he came back in the mid 90's and had gained some 10-20 lbs of lean mass.

Holyfield is also a good example. Actually mentioned it in my previous post, before reading this.
