The thread called for PED free, perhaps they think he is on peds.

At any rate most will nominate non current fighters as it's the Classic forum.

I read a long time ago that the chief surgeon who worked on Cleveland Williams after he was shot said the average fit person has something like an eighth of an inch of stomach muscle and Cleveland had like 2 1/2 inches — it was enough to stop the bullet from going through the stomach muscle/lining and into his organs, which would almost certainly have killed him.

Whatever you think of Cleveland as a boxer, his dedication in the gym almost surely saved his life. He didn’t buy that physique at K-Mart … he earned it.

    D1ck Tiger
    Ken Norton
    David Haye
    Rubin Carter
    Harold Johnson
    Archie Moore
    Jersey Joe Walcott.

In combat sport tho, major difference between show muscle and go-muscle.

There's a fair few fighters that look bigger than prime Foreman that I think Big George would massacre with his functional strength.

I'd say the most ripped and chiseled specimen was Frank Bruno in the 90's.

Ken Norton, Mike Weaver, Cleveland Williams, Jack Johnson, Primo Carnera, Steve Cunningham, Kell Brook, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Wladimir Klitschko, David Haye, Timothy Bradley, Shawn Porter, Marvin Hagler, Chris Eubank Sr.
There are so many to name, I’ve probably missed some out, but I tried to put the main ones in there.
This isn’t judged only by muscle mass otherwise Valuev would probably be near the top, it’s defined by leanness, definition and body shape (clavicle width, waist etc) and obviously muscle to an extent, but it’s not the be all and end all of the criteria.
