What and how is the mafia in Seoul compared to say Tokyo?

Korean mafia had the most power from the 1930s till the 80s. The big dogs were involved politically. Up until the 2000's they still had ways to make big bucks involving construction (forcing land/homeowners to sign over documents to sell so the major corporations can do construction for highrisers) Now they legit have no place in society, small gambling houses here and there. Impossible to do extortion/prostitution etc

The Yakuza fell off of a cliff too, even worse than the Korean mafia. They were considered the big 3 gangsters worldwide but now they can't even get a normal job due to the government taking away their ability to even make bank accounts. The pachinko parlors are controlled by the Koreans, there are legit NO WAY for the Yakuza to make money now. They are having an incredibly difficult time recruiting members because the glamour is gone and the perspective of gangs in Korea and Japan has shifted.

Gambling is dead, its all online now.

Even drug dealing isn't an option, the college kids/people that has lived overseas are the ones that control it now (deported folks from the US etc. you can't compete in quality and price these kids have)

How could they be involved in any of those things? its all online. youre not going to outsmart a sub 40 year old on the pc nor smartphone. the main redlight districts are all getting shut down and girls have finally figured out that they could just rent a cheap place, and have the guests meet them at their apartment instead of having to break off the pimp everything.

1g of shabs (meth) cost 600 usd in Korea. 1g of ganja costs a 100. anyone can enter the game and make ludicrous money. No more face to face, all crypto payments + discreet shippong. the market isnt big enough where you need a 100 keys to be a big player. a few youngns smuggling/growing a few lbs of ganja or a kilo of shabs is all it takes to out price the OG gangsters hard.

Danny Green was an absolute champion met him once. Mundine gave me a look of respect the later on smiling as I was conversing with an indigenous man. He loved the fact that two men of different colour were getting along well. By the way I never saw people as colour. Just people.
