Just made the same point on another thread Jurgen. I thought Josh looked shot in the Lara rematch and I thought the butt was deliberate. Possibly one fight too many, typical of a Fighter in denial.
    Hopefully he'll come out OK.

Every single person who has boxed extensively- amateur or pro has some kind of injury to the brain.
It might not show but trust me damage has been done.
Everytime your struck a blow to the head your brain smacks around in your skull. Everytime.
Seen ALOT of people with brain damage from boxing and its sad especially when they are younger.
I'm of the notion that hard sparring is a HUGE reason why boxers get brain damage.
Knew a pro boxer with like 12/14 fights. Tall southpaw who was pretty hard to hit and had a safety first style.
But in training he would have WARS in the gym. All the time.
Pretty articulate guy. Now? Have a hard time understanding him and his motor skills are of like an 80 year old. He was 28 years old.

You never said a truer word matey, how can we not think getting hit on the head hundreds ( more often 1,000s) will do no harm:nonono seems the boxing fraternity are sometimes in denial, an instance which involved myself, went to Vegas to see Minter win the world title, had a photo and chat with him hours after the win, he was polite, articulate, and personable, saw and spoke to him again a couple of years before he passed, pitiful ! slurred speech, lost his train of thought, slow to respond, sad, very sad, he won't be the last, this " sport " of ours is hard to defend . sty safe buddy.

Alan's speech was noticeably thicker even before he retired. I do know that, after his career, he was a very heavy drinker, some said an alcoholic, which exacerbates the problem hugely.

You pay for everything you do in life and people seem to forget that.
A powerlifter who constantly lifts insane weight time and time again for a long duration of time will pay with his joints sooner or latter.
A running back who takes alot of hits if he plays long enough he will need a knee replacement.
But when we are young we have that " bill me latter mentality " except latter usually becomes sooner then we think.
I boxed for a long time. Loved it and gave me alot of things in life I'm grateful for.
But I know it damaged my brain in some way - the bill just hasn't come yet.
