For some reason I found myself wondering what John Duddy was upto today.
I am very surprised he has stayed retired.
Who else went into premature retirement and surprisingly, stayed there?

Joe Cal.. He could easily beat Ward. But he doesn't want to box anymore.

Yeah but I don't think he retired prematurely, I think he got it just right and has been disciplined enough to resist. That said, I don't know if he feels that there is anything to resist, it seems like he doesn't have any interest in boxing at all.

Hagler, even though he was old and much past it. thought he would come back for a win to get the srl (kinds robbery) out of his head

He certainly wouldn't want to box Ward. Ward is a younger, more athletic version of the Hopkins that Calzaghe barely won a decision over. Best that Joe stay retired so his fans can stay delusional.

Lewis, especially with the kind of money reportedly on offer.

Thought Fernando Vargas would have been back in the ring at some point over the last seven years.

Wrong. The only think Ward and Hopkins have in common is that they both are dirty, cheat and get away with it. Ward doesn't even have a good chin..

    Calzaghe beats he 9
