    Round 10

Machuca is doubling his jab up top and tapping Brown on the belly with the single version of it. Brown is flicking out his backhanded right jab from his stomach. Machuca down, slip. Brown is jabbing up from the hip in a southpaw Philly shell, grinning and laughing at Machuca. Lots of half-realized chopping rights by the Venezuelan, but he's pulling them as he sees Brown stepping laterally in real time and realizes that pulling trigger will just leave him open to a counter uppercut. Machuca too gun-shy to make something happen with a minute left in the fight. Brown on his bike, playing around, ducking and shimmying to either side, popping counters - but Machuca does find him with a splashy right hand! Brown's gum shield comes out. Machuca drills in a couple more right hands, but time is running out. 15 seconds left. Another right by Machuca but Brown scores a counter right hook backing up.

    10-9 Machuca, close

    96-94 Machuca

The only way Lay 'em Down Brown puts 'em to sleep, is through sheer boredom!

Third consecutive UD loss for Machuca, who started his career 17-0 (14) at home in Venezuela.

Brown improves to 17-0 (11), but he's a KO waiting to happen IMO ...got hit plenty and Machuca didn't even go all-out.
