Horrible, Horrible list. Oscar De La Hoya has no business being on the list. That said, his description of Barrera is top quality. Imagine picture-perfect technique and flawless execution delivered by a fighter with the sensibilities of a street thug
I think it's pretty good. Obviously there are a few omissions and a few higher and lower than I might give, but hey, all in all......decent.
Oscar is definitely top 10. I will still put him ahead of Floyd of course behind Pac and some other fighters.
Anyway this is my opinion the guy is giving his with some arguments I won't put him 4 of course but 10 is O.K. There have been too much threads about Oscar career so I will not go any further.
Get the **** outta here with that bull****.... you might not like the man but only a complete dumbass would have DLH or Lewis for that matter over Floyd Mayweather. My list is....... Whitaker, Chavez, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Jones, Morales, Barrera, Hopkins, Calzaghe, Lopez. Chavez & Whitaker are joint top.
1. Pernell Whitaker 2. Manny Pacquiao 3. Julio Cesar Chavez 4. Roy Jones Jr 5. Evander Holyfield 6. Bernard Hopkins 7. Floyd Mayweather Jr 8. Marco Antonio Barrera 9. Erik Morales 0. Ricardo Lopez
I just don't rate guys who lost as many times as some of the guys in that list to be honest. Oscar, Holyfield, MAB, Morales, even Hopkins - their losses in fights they should have won should count against them in my view. You got guys like Calzaghe and Floyd who never got defeated, and for all the arguments about opposition - do you reward someone like Oscar for fighting the best in multiple weight classes and more often than not coming up short when he did?
