It will be free & people will fight for themselves instead of lounging around for mythical paydays.

You people are naive if you think the best are magically going to fight the best.

No, it won't die. We still have Klitschko-Fury and Canelo-Cotto.

Will completely move 140lbs to 160lbs along since no one will be clamoring for a fight for the big $.

I like Floyd but I'm glad to see him retire. Pac needs to go as well. This will push the sport into the future.

    1. Mayweather is not yet retiring, we all know that. He'd never leave another $100mm on the table and that's what is available to him in fights with Khan, Pac II and the Cotto/Canelo winner rematch.

    2. Boxing isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

We still have Cesar Rene Cuenca aka the Argentine Mayweather

Plus we have the future of boxing in Felix Valera, the man is a mix between Eubank and Marciano

The guy is hogging 4 belts at 147 and 154. Can't wait for him to retire.

I think when Floyd retires, the titles will change hands more frequently.

People said the same thing about Hip Hop when Biggie and 2Pac died. Nas also said Hip Hop was dead about 10 years ago, a statement he retracted shortly after. Boxing existed before Floyd and it will exist after Floyd...if anything Boxing will improve once he's done with the sport, he's been a thorn in the side for ages now

No it won't. Boxing has a bright future. We have fantastic fighters that'll do great being the face of the sport.

The best won't fight the best.
