As I stated myself, the people with a financial stake in boxing are the ones who need to get this done (sanctioning bodies, promoters):

Victor Conte is a scumbag. I don't know why you guys parade around here, quoting him like he's some PED-enforcement messiah.

Where's the proof in that? He came up with synthetic steroids that were undetectable by testing that was available a decade ago.

Testing regimens today are so much more robust.

I think Victor's just out to make some $, and he's just playing you guys for fools.

And to use your Victor Conte love against you; didn't he say he didn't see the benefits of HGH for a boxer? That, if he were training a boxer, EPO would be the PED they'd use?

And since EPO is detectable via urine........

I dont love Conte, but the man knows his ****.

My question to you is this: Why does the discussion of this subject bother you so much?

Because, as I've outlined in this thread; OSDT in professional boxing today is a pipe dream. It's not going to happen. This isn't the NFL, MLB, the Olympics, this is pro boxing, a sport that does not have a single body by which all of its athletes are governed.

If any of you who claim to be serious about 'cleaning up the sport' really were serious about it, you'd realize the many obstacles I've outlined, and refrain from posting this pointless discussion in this forum.

For ****'s sakes, can't we go a day in this forum without posting PEDs-related bull****? All of you guys who are so up in arms about it, you never made a peep about it before July 13th, 2009. :deal

Where was your PED soapbox then?

And way to dodge my EPO question BTW.

Oh well, at least you didn't bring up the "UNKNOWN PEDS!!!!!!" argument.

No, people who know about PED's in sports over the past half century did not "get everything they learned from a Mayweather interview. You did.

    We, the fans, want OSDT.

Using your logic, we should just... do nothing and DO NOT express ourselves?

You get what sounds like personally offended, when a bunch of sports fans want stricter drug testing. Get a life.

You're right, it's an unrealistic pipe dream. The commissions and sanctioning bodies can't do anything about it. THEREFORE, the only thing a fighter can do to take steps toward ending PED use in boxing is to demand that strict testing in THEIR upcoming fight.

I agree 100%, It's up to the fighters and their camps to get this done for now. Anyone who doesn't believe this should be done is senseless. The current system is flawed and doesn't catch PED's, so it's up to the fighters and camps themselves to combat something that IS happening. If you don't believe PED's are being used and are looking for proof, then again given that the current system is flawed, then demanding testing is the answer.

This is a "dog chasing it's tail" post. Berto is ****ing crying *****... so picks low hanging fruit and claims PEDS. What a ****ing loser? Why don't you admit you were just CARRIED, BERTO? Is that a plausible explanation for your loss?

About the only thing I agree with the TS is that it's up to the State Commissions to enact stricter testing procedures if they want. It's not up to the boxers come up with their own tests.

Side Note: It's being argued throughout the internet that the commissions should have COSTLIER tests, because of safety concerns. I am just wondering, wouldn't the suspected wide spread use of PEDs in the sport of boxing have increased deaths in the sport as well. And I'm not just talking about in professional boxing, but in the amateurs as well. Well, guess what since the 1960's the reverse has happened. Deaths in boxing has gone down. So if anything, when it comes to deaths, the use of PEDs in boxing has be negligible. Food for thought kids. Do your own research and look it up. I did. :think

Ok "Doc". You are obviously referring to a specific boxer. In case you are referring to Pacquiao , google for pics of Pac as a teenager. Its everywhere. He's always had a big head....

Stupid "doctor". Concluding that someone is on PEDS based on twisted facts. If you really are somebody who works in the medical field you'd notice that Pac's head did not abnormally grow. It's always been big.

With all due respect "doc". Shut the **** up.

He administered PEDS to fighters that were not detected because there probably were no random urine tests for those particular fights. These steriods would have been detected if there was random urine testing, which of course Pac is more than willing to submit to.
