The hits like a girl is interesting. Lucia rikjer hits harder than the olympian male boxer of same weight and harder than a LHW MMA fighter. lol. 900lbs of power.
Yey this is one of my favorite shows, and the Hit like a girl one was good however im not sure about those machines and how indicative it is of ones true punching power. Rampage Jacksons power is one of the hardest ever recorded not to far away from Tysons best shot, i believe Butterbeans is really up there. And as for Abner Mares i know that punch was at a different angle than the ones Lucia and the olympian threw but i highly doubt they hit twice as hard. What is that olympians full name? Has he turned Pro? I think Lucia is the best woman fighter ive ever seen.
I find it funny, that when they compared the power of no name boxers with established MMA fighters, then Lucia Rijker hit it harder than everyone....Imagine if Klitschko or David Haye were part of the experiement
They should have had the olympian dude throw the exact same punch as riker or vice versa in order to get a more accurate guage. This experiemt is flawed. I think Riker is a hell of a fighter, but its not like she could get in there and compete with professional men at 140.
No she can't, she tried in kickboxing though. But got KO'd by the men's world champion inside 2 rounds, she could compete with him technically and powerwise (was even better it seemed) but couldn't take his punch.
i didnt know that but it sounds about right. I would pick Abner Mares to put a serious ass whupping on Riker even though she outweighs him by 20 Lbs.
It seems rather unscientific force=(mass)x(acceleration) F=(m)(a) units mass is measured in KG acceleration is measured in meters/second square Force in actually measured in Newtons. Mass is one of the components the next is the change in velocity. simple Newtonian Mechanics....
I don't understand why they said she can hit harder than a pro mma fighter like it was unexpected? Boxers only focus on striking they should be the harder strikers naturally but mma fighters have to split time between stand up, clinch, and ground.atsch She was a professional while he was an amateur, she was able to throw the punches that have moar torque, her gloves were a puncher's mitt while his looks moar padded, her gloves looked smaller, and her gloves were broken in.atsch
She's a girl and that MMA fighter was a lot bigger. Rampage Jackson threw a punch that measured at 1,800 pounds of force. Not many boxers are going get that high.
Using newtonian force as a measure of punching "power" is dumb. Force is a product of mass and acceleration. It's pretty obvious that there are a myriad of things that go into punching power including velocity, mass, surface area, physiology, etc... As a superficial example, if you jump off of a 1 foot ledge and a 10 foot ledge you hit the ground with the same force in both examples, but the longer fall hurts more and potentially causes more damage. Your body, or it's subsequent parts like your head or insides, aren't meant to rapidly accelerate or decelerate and that is part of what makes punches so damaging.
