This is bout #203 of the Paris Games (of what in total will be 235) and the last Quarterfinal - so, the very last without hardware on the line. After this all losers get either a bronze or silver.

Wójcik not nearly as awkward as her teammate Szeremeta down at 57kg. (nor as good)

She's only here in the first place because she finally scraped by her arch-nemesis Aoife O'Rourke of Ireland in the round-of-16, by SD.

    O'Rourke is 6-1 career-long against Wójcik.

Pretty sloppy and unenjoyable fight compared with the preceding one - but more competitive than Ngamba vs. Michel ended up being.

Alright, let's see who gets the honor of being thrashed by Ngamba in the semis. :sisi1

I think Wójcik probably nicked it. Landed one really good looping can-opener left in an overall ugly and clinch-filled third round.

Two medals secured. Can't believe it's not Durkacz entering the medal phase.

Yep, that was a QF so no medal for Wójcik. I think it could've gone her way.

France has done pretty well in boxing - two finalists and one in Djamili-Dini Aboudou Moindze, who, I believe will get through his semi-final against the Spaniard. All of them are against tough foes in Hasanboy, Erislandy Alvarez and Jalolov. Do you guys think any one of the French men can get gold? :sherlock:
