That's disappointing. Yıldız Kahraman acted friendly and sportsmanlike after the decision while both were in the ring, and then immediately upon exiting made the "x" sign with her fingers into the camera (just as Svetlana Kamenova did in the quarterfinals after losing to Lin - the other woman at the center of the IBA "failed gender tests" controversy alongside Imane Khelif)

Very two-faced, not to mention uncalled for sore-loser bullcrap.

 

The first was definitely Esra's best round.

Let's hope she gets fairer treatment here than Villegas did...

 

Szeremeta bouncing all over the place. Petecio started strong with a southpaw jab and overhand left combo but as the first round wore on she just had fewer chances to lay a glove on the Pole.

Most of the firm glove contact occurred in clinches.

 

Very little leather landed, like I said - but the bulk of it was from Petecio early. Judges reward her for that, 5-0.

 

Nesthy's headgear keeps jostling loose.

 

Judges in the second round go 4-1 in favor of the awkwardly elusive counter-puncher Szeremeta.

It's now 20-18 Petecio and 19-19 x4.
