Man vs. boy in there. Zamkovoy marking up Madiev's face in numerous places, while sustaining barely a scratch himself.

Zamkovoy an expert at drawing the lead (giving up his natural height advantage by slouching in temptingly) and then riding it backward, straightening to full height and lurching in with hard counter line drive lefts. Madiev looks quick, fit & powerful but he's outclassed in ring IQ and timing by about tenfold.

20-18 x 5 in favor of the Zamkovoy, probably cruising towards an easy shutout.

That was a decent performance from Zamkovoy. Madiev gave it a go in all three rounds and landed some but was countered to hell over 9 minutes. Madiev definitely looks like a solid pro.

Yep, complete shutout, 30-27 across the board.

Very sharp, Zamkovoy - dialed in with the left hand and moving with lots of self-assurance. Honestly if he's this on point in the semis I favor him over his old nemesis Iglesias - even the improved version we saw today (and definitely the lackluster, halting version that fought Okazara).

They've met thrice before, and Zamkovoy has gotten the better of him twice. All three were close, though, with Iglesias and Zamkovoy each taking one MD.

Yeah, this'll have been a good learning experience for him.

The Mexican coming up is a decent fighter, i cashed him as a +200 underdog in the last round against Plantic. That was a fantastic little scrap. Both men went to war. But i think he's also more a guy with a pro style (like Plantic) and Arlen Lopez looked fantastic in his opening bout. Going with Lopez here.

Walter Matthau vs Jack Lemon in semis in this half of the draw.

Zamkovoi looked very good against a much more willing opponent.
He will be confident he has beaten Ronny a couple of times now and I think he looks sharper.

Roniel to crafty but a little disappointing from Delante. Just didn't know how to get into position to trouble the vet.

Lefty against lefty. At first glance the Cuban looks two divisions smaller, but a minute in he's schooling the Mexican. Very quick moving in and out landing body jabs without taking receipts, making Romero lunge wildly.

Agree. Delante fought a much better fight against Roniel two years ago at the Pan American Games. That was a CLOSE fight which could have been scored for Delante. Today it was dominant by the Cuban.

Wow. López showed a lot in his bag of tricks in that opener. He can hang back and pick you off, and he can pressure and score flush lead right hooks on the head of a much taller opponent.

AND he can switch-hit pretty effectively, doing a Dempsey shift? That's almost not fair.

Those flicks were such guilty pleasures back in the day. (and yes I know they go back way further, but I'm not old as hell myself so this is what I mostly knew their association from growing up)

Romero just can't escape that hook, huh (or anything Arlen throws really) - almost feel bad for him. A full beat or two after getting hit his head is moving to slip the punch that already got him, like a cognitive delay or something.
