Just a thought, i know in football and other sports the different colours represent different subliminal messages to the opposing team. Same with the design like hoops and stripes and what not.
Would a boxers shorts colour and design have any sort of message on his opponent, if so anyone know what effect itd have?

Your knowledge is ridiculous, if you know nothing about something dont comment unless youre gonna take time to look it up and post something remotely intelligent!
Like i said in the original post its a thought not a sure thing but colours represent different moods, could that be taken into account with things like a boxers attire!

I think it is an interesting theory, but I think it doesn't work to be honest. Some may disagree, but that's their opinion.

I'm with this guy. I doubt things such as color and design on a fighter's trunks would have much affect on an opponent if any.

Calm down guy, he's not talking about abortion or anything like that. This is one of the most overreactive comments I've ever seen.

NO! This is ridiculous. Maybe I did get a little too upset before, but you gotta ask when does it get to the point where its crossing the line. This is really unacceptable and I still don't understand the logic to it. (maybe because there is none)

:huh what are you freaking out about? Its a pretty simple concept....."maybe" you could **** off an opponent into doing something stupid (sidetracking his gameplan) by using certain symbols or colors. Ya know, maybe like wearing a swastica if your fighting Yuri Foreman :scaredas: . Do I think it would work? No, not really, but its an interesting point brought up.

Calm the **** out young man.

Its a valid and interesting point, a few sportsman and sportsteams have used certain tactics for a pyschological advantage. Whether this has worked however is subjective.

I was wondering if fighters always have the same type of design for their trunks. I know Ricky Hatton usually has black with a sea blue colored trunks. Lennox Lewis wore his white with red letters named Lennox. However, there are fighters such as Mayweather who change their trunks fight to fight. Was there ever a tradition for keeping the same style of boxing clothing?

Hagler almost always wore red, Foreman saved his trunks from a few fights (rumble in the jungle trunks he wore for his comeback), etc. Some boxers get pretty superstitious over them
