Boxing back on the cover of sports illustrated

Who cares if it's not a boxer? The more recognition boxing gets, the better. Non-fans will watch boxing because of this cover, so that's a good thing.

It would be nice if the publicity from The Fighter leads people to watch HBO's "Best of Boxing" series at the end of the year. That could lead to some great exposure and new fans.

 

Mark is always at fights. I see him in the crowd on HBO most fights. Doesn't he hang out with Pacman too?

Newsflash: All Magazine covers in some way or form are photoshopped. Didn't they teach you this in Common Sense 101?

 

This is absolutely a positive thing, and for the record this movie is getting rave reviews from basically "everyone" who's "anyone" in terms of movie reviews, I simply throw that in to say this could be a huge boost for boxing in general.
