I am from Norway, and we actually have Cecilia Brækhus, maybe det P4P #1 female boxer in the world, but she can't fight in her own country.

But I think if pro boxing will be legal, a lot of people will turn pro. Maybe not the biggest talent pool, but maybe someone can go far in the pro ranks.

    So this is GOOD NEWS!

Good for Norway, people need to stand up to the evil, socialist, nanny state, bigoted scum that have polluted and corrupted Europe with their poison, especially Scandinavia, for far too long.

Finally, boxing in Norway...!!! Actually, we at Team Kingpin were asked to headline the 1st Norway Boxing Card against Leif Larsen.

The political parties of Norway were discussing this back in 2013.

Boxing has been made legal in Norway! The government passed it earlier this week!

How about that Mayweather jr. vs. Pacquiao for the first BIG fight in Norway EVER !?!

I'm glad the ban is over. Maybe I can go to a pro boxing event in the near future!

But i doub't it will ever be any big events i n Norway, because as long as sport doesn't involve cross country skiing (or other sports only norwegians comepte in) the people likely won't care.

I've never understood why bans come in in some places on sports like boxing and MMA
what's more important in life than testing yourself?
it's okay for people to die slowly, sitting in an office for 8-10 hours a day, and becoming an accumulated statistic to an array of cancers and whatnot through their inactivity and poor health habits over many years...

considering how ridiculously easy it is to get and stay in shape, and how health conscious people are being encouraged to be, it baffles me
