Tell me about it! I had a good bet at 11/2 on a Hatton points win, I was counting my money until Zoo quit in the 11th.
I had money on Hatton in 11 (from memory 16-1) and Tszyu in 2 (sadly I dreamt about the fight, and Tszyu sparked him in 2 rounds, but my head said Hatton would win by wearing him down a la Phillips) When the 11th ended I thought my bet had gone, I still think it a bit odd that it counts as an eleventh round stoppage when Tszyu had completed the eleventh...I can see the logic but somehow it still doesn't compute...I wasn't complaining Tonights fight is a tough one to call I reckon. Safe bet would be Clottey points I suppose.
The bell didn't ring for the 12th, if the bell had rang and Zoo failed to answer it then it would have been a 12th round stoppage otherwise its still the 11th.
:nut I like Pavlik but saying he's a step up in class like it's fact is silly! He had a good win against Taylor but hasn't ever faced anyone in the class of Calzaghe / Hopkins. Should me an intriguing fight in my opinion.
think hopkins should be about 13/8 for this fight, its all good having power but you need to hit your opponent with it imo.also got 200 on judah tonight, and i cant believe campbell is 2/1 against a fighter stepping up in weight!Guzman aint no mayweather or pac!
I think Pavlik will win but anything less than 2/1 isn't good value IMHO. You never know with Hopkins.
It depends how you read the fight really, I could see some folks thinking Pavlik is a sure thing and 2/9 being a good price. I think it will be a closer fight than the betting suggest, dunno if I would put my hard earned down on it though. Last week some bookies had cotto 1/4 fav and margarito was about 5/2, 3-1 that was badly priced.
I wouldn't dare bet on Zab cos he's unpredictable!!! Good luck with it though, might have a nice earner there! Was it on Judah decision or just victor?
Hopkins stamina is a big issue. I'm still tempted to have a small wager though at nearly 3/1 on popkins to win. Pavlik is the hope of American boxing though... the judges may be swayed...
