Len Harvey's, Doughty's book on Jock McAvoy and Bert Gilroy's are 3 excellent books about British Boxings elite fighters from that age of overall Boxing Greatness, great Human Interest storys too - very well written.

I really enjoyed "The Fighting Irish: Inside The Ring With Boxing's Celtic Warriors" by Roger Anderson. A great read. I got it when I spent a month in Ireland and couldn't put it down.

'TYSON' By Peter Heller is a great book, tells you everything you need to know about the man, apaprently hes released a new edition, my versions a bit outdated.

'Ali, His Life And Times' By Thomas Hauser is an excellent read as well

here it is Jock McAvoy's book http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jock-McAvoy-T...&otn=3&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=5135379466198146705 one of the best boxing books I've ever read, not at all elementary like most boxing books, truly well written and researched.

McAvoy is defo one of Britain's top all-time greats!
