Boxing Books - What's the Best ?

    I am looking at asking " Santa" for some boxing books for xmas , ive had a look and there are odd one's here and there , but was wondering if there was any particular ones ppl might reccomend.

    ive got the following in my collection - autobiography;s on Briggs , Green , Hatton , Fenech , Tzsyu & Mundine .

    Im interested in Calzaghe's autobiography but can only find it on ebay ..has anyone seen it in stores . Also im looking for a copy of The 16th Round by Ruben Carter ..no luck on amazon or ebay , any ideas.

    I no Oscar has a new book , there is a holyfield one around also , anyone read these or ..anyone know of any others that may be worth getting ???

    I have bought alot of good boxing books in the last year or so.

    Four Kings by George Kimball is the story of Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Duran. It gives an overview of their careers and their famous fights against each other.

    Fighters By Trade by Robert Drane is a collection of stories on Australian boxing history. It starts way back in the bareknuckle era and goes right through to todays fighters.

    Ringside by Budd Schulberg is a collection of short stories of boxing reportage. It includes chapters on boxers such as Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Arturo Gatti, Muhammed Ali, Rocky Marcano, Mike Tyson, Felix Trinidad and quite a few more.

    These are three of the better books I have read this year, well worth buying. :good

    I started the jesus chavez one.

    Also there was one about outback tent boxing too in australia but i cant remember the title

    I have been eyeing off that Jesus Chavez one in Borders. Any good so far Robot ?

    Yeah thats where i grabbed it from.
    So far it is good.
    Talks how his family went to america and he found the gym.

    Stopped reading it before exams but need to start again

    Pay day tomorrow, I think I might pick it up. Either that one or the Angelo Dundee one I've also been looking at.

    Borders is great for buying books as they seem to have alot better range than most other places.

    Yeah they have a good range there, i want the dundee one too, also the arthur mercante one and mickey ward one.

    One i want to read though is the Roberto Duran one

    I havnt bought it since ,y subscription ran out a few months ago

    its a ad for my muay trainers new gym, i was goin full time when the pic was taken, like 8 years ago.... i guess he doesnt take many picture.
