That photograph is actually "staged". Rubin isn't behind bars there, but they wanted to photograph Bob with him in that kind of situation.

I just finished reading this... An absolutely brilliant read. Would recommend it, especially to those who love their old school boxers. The recounting of his wars with Greb and Dempsey are fantastic.

It say's that in the book, I like the photo.

I knew the song but not all the story in detail, now that I have some time to myself i'm enjoying the read.

Obviously the best is "the man" by daniel lane and mundine. Four kings was decent, muhammed ali in my own words was great, sugar ray robinson's made himself sound bad and was fairly uninteresting.

Paul briggs' book was ok up until he goes all soft at the end and finds god and pies off boxing although I would love a sequel on his hard fought war with danny green.

No ordinary joe is ok too.

Recently finished 'Axis of Greatness' by Mike Winters.

Mainly focusses on Angelo Dundee, and particularly his association with Ali & SRL.

Very good read - particularly as it came out of the $10 bin.

I'm currently reading Angelo Dundee's biography - 'My view from the Corner' with Bert Sugar.

    Not a bad read. :good
