This story by Jack London was voted the best boxing story ever written.
Only about half a dozen pages long but never the less pure boxing essence.

I reckon the Anthony Mundine book when he retires will be a *******......thats if he opens up and gives an insight into his insecurities, rather than create a book of brovado.

Went to a few of Lester's fights. Wasn't at that one though.

Miller beat Carter for Vic title that night. Rohan Tomkins had his only pro fight (used to work with his brother Doug many years ago - was a very impressive amateur).

Finished 'The Last Great Fight' by Joe Layden about Tyson-Douglas last night, and definitely recommend it. Incredibly well researched, it explores both fighters pre and post fight with interviews with just about everyone involved, even Tyson.

Also, like Robot16 asked, which version of Amazon do people here use, the UK or US one?

CHB... Darren Miller was a bloke who deserve a little more credit also. I dont remeber him performing badly... ever.

After the Tony Miller/ Darren Miller contest, 'Keefy', in his remarkable use of the English language, mixed with his direct intention said "Darren Miller has more balls than a bean bag..". Only Keith Ellis could come up with the appropriate words.

Hey, I've lways been fascinated by Griffo, who is the author?... I would be made up to borrow it from you, which is a very generous and trusting offer, but otherwise I could maybe buy it from amazon. Have you read the Battling siki and Mike mctigue books that came out recently?... what did you make of them if so?. I'm currently reading 'Son of philadelphia' the biog of Gypsy Joe Harris... which is a great read...:bbb:bbb:bbb:hat:deal

Can remember Darren Miller only vaguely, and by name only.

Tony Miller also qualified in the balls category.

There's about 7 billion people in the world and you won't find another one the same as Keith Ellis amongst 'em!
