Pac's last two fights have had every sports bar in the city jam packed. Yesterday you couldn't find an empty seat past 9PM EST. Also, Floyd vs Oscar was a packed house. The sport is not even getting advertising and everyone is hyped about it. Klitscko is selling out stadiums. Even guys like Bute are making millions.

its the best sport in the world, it cannot be cast aside. Yahoo.com is leading their main page with last night's fight.

The ****ing sanctioning bodies better keep their **** in check, they are being cast aside and quick. Yesterday had no title on the line, Pac vs Oscar also, and JMM vs PBF also, etc etc. They are losing their weight, and the sport is benefiting from it.

    :bbb

even JMM vs Juan Diaz was a full house. The orgs were begging GBP to let their belts be on the line.

Not to mention guys like Donaire, Darchinyan, Cotto, Mosley of course, William, Hopkins still going strong and much more. its awesome

The sport is good and has always been good. It's just that some people tend to focus on other stuff when things get cold. In boxing it's like seasons, you get a month packed with major fights and two months with a few minors if anything at all. This year is looking EXTRA hot though with major fights coming up and endless rumors about possible fights.

Boxing is good and has always been good, boxing doesn't need to talk down about other sports to promote itself unlike other human chicken fighting stuff.

i didn't even check if there was a title on the line for last night? but for anyone who doubts anything i've said in the past about fanbase and notoriety being more important than gaining paper belts and notching up meaningless wins aginst stiffs to pad a record then here is your proof.

Great post Philla! If fans begin to realise that belts are pretty meaningless we may see less boxers going for these belts to save money on sanctioning fees. This will heopefully cause these sancitoning bodies to **** off and die in some corner and we can get back to the business of fighters fighting the best.

It's why at some level, we all should be *******s.

Oscar gave us megaevents. Manny is giving us megafights.
