I read an interesting article on the espn boxing page yesterday regarding boxing dvds. The writer suggests that the collectors that sell privately are keeping the sport alive in a sense. As you can't walk into your local HMV and buy a Carlos Monzon boxed set or get a dvd of the fights between Duran and Leonard. There are too many complications from the broadcaster to the promoter.

I was just wondering where you all source your fights from should you collect them? I currently use superstarsofboxingdotcodotuk and the service and quality is terrific. However I found a site called paulhitchinboxingdotcom which has more fights at better value too. Adn there's also one I heard about called boxing-southpawdot8kdotcom.

If these sites didn't exist how could you collect?

If those sights didn't exsist (and they always would) you would have guys trading on site's like this one. Which happens anyway.

I'll vouch for PaulHitchin. In the old days when it was on video he would pop extras on to fill out your tape. A good guy.

boxingdvd.com and boxingcraze.com are pretty good.

Brian Cooper has a lot of rare stuff. Pricey, but you can even get some WW Ray Robinson, although the quality of the footage stinks.
